Oh hey there! It's nice to meet you! I'm Hannah.
I'm an eighteen year old photographer based in the famously green mountains of Vermont! (We're actually tucked away in a valley, but we'll pretend it's the mountains). I focus on portrait, event and pet photography... really anything from senior pictures to engagement photos to a photoshoot of your pup! You can ALWAYS find me with my camera. Not every special memory is a planned one -- in fact, most are spontaneous and a total surprise! So, I'm always ready to capture one of those moments.
I don't believe in those photos where you just say "cheese" and move on. No forced smiles here! To me, you're not a client - we're friends and I just happen to be taking the photos! I want to know your favorite season, the names of your pets, all of that important stuff :) Personally, I LOVE taking photos with the golden hour lighting -- it's just the most perfect, warm vibe! I also really prefer the natural outdoor settings vs. city pictures in the street. But that's just me! If you have a specific style or preference in which you'd like your photos taken, please don't hesitate to tell me! The most important thing is that you LOVE your photos... otherwise, what's the point?! |
I'm looking forward to creating some memories for you, and I can't wait to meet you!

My Story...
Just like every single person in this world, I have my own unique story. I graduated high school in summer of 2022 with a very clear idea about my future. I was living in Tennessee at the time and applied to multiple universities to major in music performance. Well, I got accepted to the college on the top of my list with a scholarship. This was it, I thought -- I'm going to college in the Fall to pursue music! But... sometimes, God has different plans. He put something else on my heart, and I walked away from this "dream" of mine. I ended up moving back to Vermont with my family and took a gap year - I needed time to figure things out. Looking back, I realized that the college dream wasn't really my dream. It was the thought, the mindset, the pressure to walk the path that most of my friends and family took. After graduating high school, I really started to explore my passions. I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember and it was always second nature to photograph every (sometimes not so important) thing.

Little me liked sniffing any type of flower on any occasion
But it was in high school, when I took photography classes, that I really became passionate about photography. To me, it was art. I was telling a story without words and capturing a moment that eventually became a cherished memory. I absolutely loved my photography Advanced Study Projects in high school, and took online pet photography and editing software classes in my free time.

From Stone Soup Magazine, June 2019:
"Since November 2017, we have published 15—and, with this issue, now 20— of Hannah Parker’s photographs. This issue also marks her fourth Stone Soup cover. Hannah lives on a farm in Vermont with goats, a dog, chickens, cats, and a bunny. Given her surroundings, it’s no surprise that her subject has always been nature—from flowers and landscapes to her own pets and wildlife.
Though her subject has remained the same, in the two years we’ve been publishing her work, Hannah’s approach has changed and matured. Her early photos often depicted nature in straightforward ways: a flower framed in the center of the photograph, for instance. Even early on, however, she had photographs that had a hint of strangeness, that forced us to see something very normal—a dog, the full moon—in a new way, because of how she framed the subject.
Over time, Hannah’s photographs have all become stranger—and so more beautiful and more interesting—as she has experimented with editing techniques alongside new angles and frames. In this portfolio, you will see an oversaturated, almost alien-looking landscape; flowers that look as tall as trees; a landscape reflected in a raindrop; and ghostly daisies.
Even though Hannah has now turned 14, we look forward to continuing to publish the works she submitted in the months prior. We hope her work will inspire many of you not only to take photographs but to rethink your approach to common photographic subjects!"
